Timothy Lee

COACH

Coach Tim began fencing at the age of 12 — a relatively late start by competitive standards — but quickly rose to 1st place, not only in Virginia but across the entire region. His rapid progress earned him a spot on the USA Cadet National Team. He also became the first fencer from POFC to sign a National Letter of Intent and was recruited to compete for the NCAA Division I fencing team at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) on an athletic scholarship. He trained under Head Coach and POFC founder Youngchan Lee, and further expanded his experience through technical training sessions with coaches from the Korean National Fencing and Modern Pentathlon Teams. As part of that experience, he also briefly trained at Korea National Sport University. Coach Tim has a special gift for coaching youth fencers. Drawing from his own competitive journey and real-match experience, he shares practical techniques and strategies while helping young athletes build confidence and a strong mindset.
